I live in Woodland Hills south of the boulevard and a man came to the door saying their service trucks would be all over, setting poison traps for rats and cockroaches for at least 15 homes nearby. He refused to acknowledge the harm to wildlife, saying only rats can go in the traps and then hide away to die. Awful. Any recourse to stop this??
This is appalling that they are going door to door. We have reports of this happening in other communities. The falsehood that the dead rats are harmless is what we very commonly hear from the exterminator companies. The real purpose of rat poison is to remove the rodent so that the customer does not have to deal with the body. But somebody else DOES get the consequences – the rats DO NOT go away to die, they go away to poison our dogs and cats, and the whole food chain, including owls, hawks, bobcats, and all the animals we list on this website.
